The European Union invests in the future of young people in Moldova

AO Homecare, HELP Hilfe Selbsthilfe e.V. conducts a four-day training aimed at Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) in the southern region of Moldova. This forms part of the extensive project “Empowering   of youth entrepreneurship in Moldova,” financed by the European Union.

The project spans from 2022 to 2025, primarily focusing on providing financial support for the initiation or enhancement of entrepreneurial ventures among the youth. Additionally, it aims to establish a national network of CSOs to encourage collaboration among community stakeholders in local Moldovan development initiatives.

The project’s objectives stand clear and ambitious. Among these is the facilitation of youth access to independent economic activities, support for income generation, and the improvement of living standards. Moreover, it aims to enhance the capacities of CSOs and encourages them to implement similar actions in the future.

The program encompasses specific initiatives such as fostering youth entrepreneurship by enhancing entrepreneurial skills and facilitating access to grants. Key aspects include sensitizing and informing potential beneficiaries so that young entrepreneurs can maximize these opportunities to their fullest potential.

Partnerships within this project play a crucial role in attaining success. The collaboration between AO Homecare alongside DEMOS and Pro Co RE, under the leadership of HELP Hilfe Selbsthilfe e.V. from Germany, brings expertise and additional support, thus reinforcing the role of civil society in community development and providing services to Moldovan citizens.

Direct beneficiaries comprise at least 10 local CSOs, while the indirect impact will be felt across the entire civil society. This remarkable endeavor, funded by the European Union, represents a significant step towards investing in the future and sustainable development of Moldovan youth.
